We provide our schools access to our management systems, our technical expertise and our peace of mind that our contractors have been procured appropriately with all due diligence carried out on behalf of our clients.

Our Services explained

We offer a planned and cyclical maintenance service to ensure your buildings are safe and compliant, and that minor issues are not put off until they become larger projects. We can provide electrical testing, gas servicing and annual programmed maintenance together with individual or programmed project work.

Mechanical & Electrical

Our mechanical services include:

  • Maintenance and servicing of gas and oil fired boilers
  • Maintenance of air conditioning and air handling units
  • Maintenance of refrigeration systems
  • Management of Building Management Systems (BMS), which control heating, lighting and ventilation
  • Local Exhaust Ventilation (LEV) systems maintenance and testing
  • Minor works installations where no design or statutory application is required
  • Refurbishments and installation on new mechanical equipment including lifts

All our mechanical and electrical services are carried out by Dodd Group. This includes reactive, cyclical and planned maintenance of all heating, electrical and air handling/air conditioning installation. This is provided to all types of properties, including social housing, town halls, other civic buildings, schools and academies. Our team of professional engineers have extensive experience in providing:

Building Repairs & Maintenance

we offer a full range of repairs and maintenance for buildings using an open book way of working. These include:

  • Building fabric response repairs, maintenance, major and minor works, such as refurbishment of buildings and extensions
  • A compliance service for water hygiene and asbestos management

Building fabric maintenance and minor works

We provide a wide range of fabric maintenance services ranging from simple reactive tasks to complex minor works and design and build projects. Using industry-leading IT, resource management and mobile technologies, we offer acost effective, quality and health & safety assured service.

Lift Maintenance & Manufacture

Our lift servicing, maintenance and repairs service is carried out by Lift and Engineering Services Ltd, who provide a 24 hour, 365 days a year emergency support facility. We also offer a planned, preventative maintenance service which is tailor-made to suit individual requirements to reflect the lift type, environment and usage.

We can also provide specialist access equipment and solutions for people with disabilities or mobility issues both in the home and in a commercial environment. This includes vertical and inclined access, wheel chair lift or disabled stair lifts.

To provide an immediate response to issues, we use a state-of-the-art Digital Pen System, to receive data files and call-out reports on the hour, every hour. Lift and Engineering Services Ltd is based in the West Midlands and hold a comprehensive range of modern equipment. This enables us to work on most types of lifting and handling systems to suit a variety of applications,including listed buildings.

The location is also used to manufacture lift and escalator components, which can often be beneficial when we come across parts and equipment that are difficult to obtain or have become obsolete.

Energy Services

Through our experience of managing energy usage in Solihull Council’s corporate buildings and schools, we are able to offer our expertise to other organisations. We have developed a range of low carbon solutions to help you make more efficient use of your assets.

These include:

  • Display energy certificates – advice and an evaluation of energy consumption at buildings
  • Air Conditioning Inspection Reports – a five year cycle of inspections undertaken by an accredited energy assessor
  • Solar photovoltaic – advice on installation operation and benefits
