Project Description:

This project involved the replacement of the Kitchen Extract Canopy, Air Handling Unit and Gas interlock to the school kitchen, ensuring services meet current guidelines and regulations. The Air Handling Unit incorporates Heat Recovery to provide an energy efficient solution that complies with Building Regulations.

The two existing food stores within the kitchen were modified and the flooring was replaced, the kitchen was also repainted.

Replacement kitchen equipment was provided and installed by Solihull Council Catering Service. Mechanical & Electrical Services for this were also provided by the Partners.

The Partnership worked with all parties to complete the project on time and within budget.

The works took place during the school’s summer holiday to minimise disruption.
